Mallorca island

Mallorca, the largest island in the Balearic archipelago, offers diverse geographical features waiting to be explored. Understanding the island’s geography begins with its stunning coastline, stretching approximately 550 kilometers, boasting pristine beaches, rugged cliffs, and hidden coves. Venturing inland, one encounters the imposing Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with peaks reaching over 1,400 meters. Beyond the mountains lie fertile plains dotted with almond and olive groves, while the eastern region showcases charming fishing villages.

The hotel is located in the middle of the nature in the heart of the island of Mallorca. Its location allows you to disconnect and do activities in the nature, as well as explore the island. Thanks to its strategic location, you can easily move to discover the island’s highlights, such as the capital, Palma, or the neighboring village of Sineu. It is also close to a train station and a 15-minute drive from paradisiacal beaches.

Our map

Mediterranean cuisine

Mediterranean cuisine is made up of plant food and minimally processed staples where herbs and spices are essential ingredients. Usually, there’s lots of fruit, veggies, legumes, grains, olive oil and aromatic herbs. Consuming dairy, eggs and wine in moderation, as well as fish and only a little meat.

There are some typical dishes in Mallorca:

  • Arròs brut
  • Tumbet
  • Pa amb oli
  • Empanadas
  • Cocas
  • Pica-Pica
  • Ensaïmada

In case you are a “foddie”, check “Our map” section above.

Favorite beaches

Our favorite beach and closest to the hotel is Platja de Moro (marked with an “A” in the map). We love to go there as it is close to Bahía de Alcudia, point “B”, where you will find cool restaurants and chiringuitos. Another two Beaches we love so much are Cala Tuent © and Sa Calobra (there is a beach and a cala too). We would suggest you to go the sooner possible so you can avoid crowds in summer time.

Getaways

We invite you to spend at least one of your days discovering the island’s capital, Palma de Mallorca. There is a lot of culture behind the great variety of tourist attractions that the city offers.

The hotel is located right next to the charming village of Sineu, where you can discover some attractions that will not leave you indifferent. This is a quieter trip where you can disconnect and enjoy the good Mediterranean gastronomy.

Shopping

If you plan to go shopping, the best place to do it is Palma de Mallorca. Palma has many narrow and interesting streets to stroll around and visit the local stores, where you can find handmade and really unique products.

Paseo del Borne has become the most visited and important shopping street on the island, which is also known as Palma’s “golden mile”.

If you like shopping in the main streets and establishments of any city, it is very likely that Zara is part of your list of favorite stores. The Zara store on Paseo del Borne is well worth a visit, as it enjoys the privilege of being located in one of the most beautiful old buildings in the capital. This very building was Palma’s main cinema long before the international fashion company moved in.

Our recommendation

The best way to get around Ibiza is by car. It is the best way to get to know all the corners of the island and move around at your own pace without depending on public transport. Buses are also an option but they are slower and do not reach all the beaches and places worth visiting.
